Please read these Terms carefully. By submitting an application or enrolling in a PSI program, you (and your parent or guardian if under 18) agree to the following terms.

1. Program Overview

Problem Solvers Initiative ("PSI") is a nonprofit youth development program. The PSI Program trains young people ages 16-19 in entrepreneurship, AI, innovation, and community problem-solving. Participation is free of charge. Program offerings include the core PSI curriculum, workshops, community events, and mentorship sessions.

  • Reside in or attend school in Atlanta, GA or St. Croix, USVI
  • Complete the official PSI application
  • Obtain parent or guardian signature (if under 18)
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in contributing to their community

PSI reserves the right to determine eligibility and program fit at its discretion. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

Participants are expected to:

  • Attend all scheduled program sessions (minimum 80% attendance required)
  • Complete curriculum assignments and capstone projects
  • Participate in the final pitch event

  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
  • Academic dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Destruction of property or resources
  • Conduct that endangers others or disrupts program operations

5. Parent / Guardian Consent (Participants Under 18)

For participants under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the PSI consent form at enrollment. By signing, the parent or guardian:

6. Media Release

PSI may photograph, video record, or otherwise document program activities for promotional, educational, and reporting purposes. By participating, you grant PSI permission to use your likeness in program materials, social media, and publications. Participants who wish to opt out of media use must notify PSI staff in writing at enrollment.

For participants under 18, this consent must be provided by a parent or guardian.

7. Intellectual Property

Ideas, projects, and innovations developed by participants during PSI programs remain the intellectual property of the participant(s) who created them. PSI does not claim ownership of participant work. We may feature participant projects in program communications with permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

PSI is not responsible for injuries, loss, or damages that occur outside of PSI-organized activities. Participants and guardians acknowledge that entrepreneurship and innovation involve inherent risk and agree to hold PSI harmless from claims arising from program participation.

9. Withdrawal and Removal

Participants may withdraw from the program at any time by notifying PSI staff. PSI reserves the right to remove any participant who violates these Terms or whose behavior is incompatible with program values. No refunds apply (the program is free).
